AT&T South Carolina will unveil its 2012 South Carolina African-American History Calendar on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Now entering its 23rd year, the 12-month calendar has become a virtual Hall of Fame, profiling individuals from across the state that has had a profound impact on South Carolina and the nation.
The Sumter-Shaw Street Fest scheduled for Sept. 23 has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
There are no plans to reschedule this year’s event.
"Bad weather is always possible in the South, but it's too bad it had to come today,” said Rob Sexton, community relations manager for Shaw. “Sumter-Shaw Street Fest 2012 planning will get underway soon."
