Wells Fargo Stagecoach Arrives to Announce Border to Border Hunger Challenge

On Tuesday, May 22 the South Carolina Food Bank Association (SCFBA) will hold a press event at 10:30 am to announce the Border to Border Hunger Challenge sponsored by Wells Fargo. The event at 10:30 am at 2220 Shop Road in Columbia will announce the $150,000 campaign to reduce childhood and family hunger across our entire state during the summer.

Kroger, in partnership with several local organizations, is celebrating Earth Day by encouraging customers to value “A Bag’s Life” – a recycling movement that locates drop-off sites for plastic bags and wraps, including the 215 Kroger stores across its Atlanta Division that will accept customers’ plastic bags between April 16 – 22.

Walmart is giving away $2 million to fight hunger in cities hardest hit by the economy, including three communities in Harvest Hope Food Bank’s service area. Harvest Hope encourages everyone to vote for the communities in their service area that need it most.

Cardholders to receive free admission

On March 3 and 4, Bank of America is offering its customers a way to recognize the contribution women have made to the arts and history, as both artists and inspiration, and celebrate National Women’s History Month with Museums on Us. 

The program is giving bank cardholders free admission to some of the most exciting cultural venues nationwide, including The California Museum for History, EdVenture Children’s Museum in South Carolina, Women and the Arts in Sacramento and the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
