National Night Out Events in City Neighborhoods
National Night Out Events in City Neighborhoods

The Columbia Council of Neighborhoods (CCN) will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) in numerous neighborhoods in the City of Columbia tomorrow night, August 7, 2012.  NNO is an annual crime prevention, safety and community-building event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).

Neighborhoods will be hosting various community gatherings, such as ice cream socials, barbeques and activities for children.

Now in its 29th year, the National Night Out nationwide event encourages neighbors to band together with fellow neighbors to “take back” their communities.

CCN is a citywide organization consisting of recognized neighborhoods in the City of Columbia. There are 106 neighborhoods in the City of Columbia that belong to the organization. CCN’s mission is to Honor, Educate, Assist and Reach (H.E.A.R.) the neighborhoods, residents and communities across the City of Columbia.
