City of Sumter to hold E-Waste Recycling Day | Environment

Sumter County and the City of Sumter will hold a FREE E-Waste Recycling Day for residents on Saturday, April 28, 2012 for such items as computers, monitors, laptops, keyboards, printers, TVs, fax machines, VCRs, DVD machines, stereos, PDAs, scanners, power tools and other small household items with a plug. No large appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, etc.) accepted. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Swan Lake Iris Gardens off Garden Street. Tennis Shoe Recycling will also be available throughout the earth day festivities! Bring your old Tennis shoes to be recycled for reduce, reuse and renew!
