Title (Max 100 Characters)
Is the rising cost of gas putting a dent in your wallet? “Go Green & Save Green” during the 6th annual Central Midlands Lawn Mower Exchange on Saturday, April 21st from 8:00 am to noon at the State Museum (Parking lot.)
Did you know that over 800 million gallons of gas are used to mow lawns each year and that lawn and garden equipment are the leading source of off road pollution?
During the event, residents will be able to mow down pollution and save “BIG” by trading their old gasoline-powered lawn mowers in exchange for a $100 voucher to purchase an environmentally friendly electric mower at a reduced price.
- The first 111 residents to trade in a gasoline-powered mower on the day of the event could save up to $225 for a new electric model.
- Electric Lawn Equipment (trimmers, weed eaters, trimmers and chainsaws) will also be available for a reduced cost during the event.
- Residents without a trade may also purchase an electric lawn mower and lawn equipment for a deeply discounted price.
