The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today a new interactive driver license test application for iPhone, iTouch, iPad and Android devices.
The driver license practice test can be downloaded free of charge at the iTunes store through the AppStore. To download the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch applications, enter “SC DMV Driver Exam” in the iTunes search box.
“The app is a practice test with questions very similar to those asked on the driver license knowledge exam,” said SCDMV Executive Director Shwedo. “The app offers a fun way to test your knowledge and it’s not just for kids. The questions are tough and if you don’t study the driver’s manual, you won’t pass the test.”
The practice test, developed with the help of SC.gov, provides customers with a convenient tool to use while they prepare for the “written” knowledge test. The exam offers a series of 15 randomly selected questions from more than 200 questions in the database. Each question is based on the information contained in the South Carolina Driver’s Manual. Customers can take the practice test and see sample scores that will help them improve their chances of passing the driver license knowledge exam in the DMV office.
DMV will demonstrate the new app at the Celebrate My Drive event sponsored by the National Safety Council and State Farm this Saturday at Blythewood High School from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
