Hannah's Morning Sunshine to Grace the Women of Trinity Focus

Talk about morning sunshine.  Hannah Horne, anchor of WIS News Ten Sunrise, greets viewers with a genuine smile and lots of energy.  Hannah anchors the 4:30am to 7am show to start the day right for Midlands' viewers.

Hannah will be the next speaker for the Palmetto Center for Women's monthly luncheon called Trinity Focus.  It's a great getaway for ladies on their lunch hour to have a delicious meal and hear an inspirational speaker.  We recently heard from Athletics Director Kim Abbott from Columbia International University and WIS News Ten's Judi Gatson.

Sumter man predicts lottery win

A Sumter man said he was going to win the Lottery and a half hour later he delivered.

“I just knew I was going to win,” he explained.

Two witnesses back up his story.

After working the night shift, the psychic and two co-workers stopped in at Lees Grocery in Sumter to hang out and scratch a few lotto tickets. One of the fellows won $100.  Right on cue, our winner picked out one worth $200,000.

“I’m a lucky guy,” he said.

“I didn’t win anything,” confessed the co-worker that gave him a ride to Columbia to cash in the Platinum Payout ticket.

7th World AIDS Day Community and Fundraising Event

The South Carolina HIV/AIDS Council (SCHAC) celebrated our 17th anniversary of service during July 2011.  Currently our state ranks 9th and our capitol, Columbia, ranks 6th in the nation in the rate of AIDS.  As our nation moves toward health care reform, the important role of community based organizations has been minimized.  This is impacting our nation’s ability to identify and link individuals at high risk for HIV infection to medical care.  Moreover, our inability and/or unwillingness to focus on early interventions,
