Tuesday evening slowed to a standstill and had to resume on Wednesday due to inclement weather with Cecilia Costa Melgar (CHI) and Haley Carter (USA) only into their match of about forty minutes.  Although we had to miss out on their play Tuesday evening, the ladies did not let up on their game Wednesday.  After 2 hours and fifteen minutes added on it brought their match up to approximately three hours of play with two tie breakers of 6-7(5) 6-2 7-6(6).  Cecilia Costa Melgar (CHI) will move to the round of sixteen to play Nicola Slater (GBR).    Long matches we

Alexis is the mother of two and has reached two $10,000 USTA Pro Circuit Tournament finals in 2011, winning the Sumter title.
