Moe’s Southwest Grill Sponsors First-Ever Burrito Dash 5K

The Moe’s Southwest Grill franchisee group of Columbia is pleased to announce its inaugural Burrito Dash on Saturday, April 21 to benefit Epworth Children’s Home. Putting its own unique spin on a 5K race, Moe’s will provide a race friendly sized burrito to runners at the halfway point.

A city-wide scavenger hunt to be held April 21

Historic Columbia Foundation is pleased to announce the Great Columbia Quest and Contest, a city-wide scavenger hunt inspired by The Amazing Race. Covering Columbia’s history through the city’s significant sites, the Quest will take place on April 21, 2012 from 10 am – 1 pm. Participants will encounter challenges, visit historic sites and look for clues about the City’s past.

SC schools to participate in Walk to School Day

Students from schools across South Carolina will be walking and biking to school along with parents, teachers, and community leaders on March 7, 2012, as part of the first annual South Carolina Walk to School Day. Joining Leaphart Elementary walkers will be SC House Representatives Nathan Ballentine and Chip Huggins.
