Photo Gallery | Sheriff: Two men wanted in connection with burglary

 

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s assistance in locating two men wanted for burglary.

The report said on Dec. 19, 22-year-old Raymond Tate, 22-year-old Michael McDowell and a co-defendant entered Oswego Community Center that is currently under construction.

While inside, deputies say the suspects cut and removed the electrical wiring from the building.

When officers arrived at the location, the suspects fled the building into a wooded area, the report stated.

Deputies say the co-defendant and three others have been arrested and charged in connection with this case.

Tate and McDowell have outstanding warrants for burglary 2nd degree, obtaining nonferrous metal unlawfully and 2 counts of Conspiracy.
