The U.S. Army Central commanding general unveiled the commands’ Hall of Heroes Friday.
The USARCENT Medal of Honor recipients came from 14 states, from N.Y. to Texas, and fought in famous battles, from the Battle of the Bulge to Baghdad.
Lt. Gen. James L. Terry presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony and issued a few remarks regarding the importance of paying tribute to the Medal of Honor recipients assigned to Third Army/USARCENT during World War II and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The hall features 24 plaques of Medal of Honor recipients, each detailing a unique story of heroism and dedication. The ceremony will mark the grand opening of the hall as well as announce its official name and purpose.
